Marimekko’s story began in Viljo Ratia’s textile printing factory Printex. His wife, Armi Ratia, provided bold new print patterns for her husband’s business.
Armi had a clear idea of the future; “One has to dream and one must stand out from the rest.”
It is from these early origins in fabric that the company now known as Marimekko emerged.
Please note that cut fabric cannot be returned or exchanged so please choose wisely. All Marimekko fabric is sold by the fabric’s repeat, not by the meter.
NB: When multiple repeats are ordered they will be sent as one continuous piece of fabric.
