Philippe Malouin’s Kuru collection elevates the concept of the vide-poche to another level. Malouin’s Kuru bowls are home displays designed to frame and organise day-to-day belongings. Playing with sculptural volume, the cut out that names the Kuru form (Finnish for ‘gorge’) reveals a rounded basin that raises and exhibits household objects and mementos.
