Helle Damkjær (b. 1965) is an accomplished Danish designer working in several design disciplines. She has collaborated with a variety of luxury brands throughout her 30-year career, across homewares, furniture, textile, jewelry, and ceramics.

Damkjær’s refined design language is expressed through minimalistic objects that emphasise functionality and reference Danish design traditions, while retaining a sense of beauty and often flair. In other words, Damkjær’s designs are both useful and aesthetically pleasing. Perhaps most notable amongst these is 2012’s “Bloom Bowl” for Georg Jensen— now part of the permanent collection at MoMA.

Damkjær’s work has attracted several accolades, including a Red Dot Design Award, a Wallpaper Magazine Design Award, a Design Plus Award as well as a Danish Beauty Award, cementing her position among Denmark’s top contemporary design talents.
