Born out of a longing for the tradition and quality craftsmanship that Jean-Baptiste and François-Marie had grown up with, Andree Jardin was born (or reborn really).
The family factory was originally opened in France in 1947 by Georges-René Julio who started out as an apprentice brush maker and later decided to go into business for himself.
Georges-René Julio’s grandchildren Jean-Baptiste and François-Marie took over the business in 2012 with intentions to reinstate old brush-making techniques in the form of a modern-day home accessory brand. It was decided that the business would be named in honour of their grandmother, Georges-René Julio’s wife, Andrée Jardin.
The range itself is a broad selection of purposeful brushes, tools, and accessories that do exactly what they’re meant to do in a lovely way.
From Blind and Shutter Brushes to Copper Sponges to dainty duos like the Clynk Table Set – perfect for cleaning up any debris from a baguette over lunch – if you have a niggly cleaning duty or frustratingly inaccessible patch of dust that you just can’t get to, we’re absolutely sure that there’s an Andrée Jardin product to help (or to at least make the process a little prettier).
A picture of quality that really can’t be accurately described here, you’ll know what we’re talking about once you’ve run your hands through the sturdy bristles of their Horsehair and Oakwood Handbrush.
