General Q. What does it cost to have my gift registry at Make? A. Absolutely nothing - it's free! Q. What about shipping costs? A. Free again! Setting Up Q. How do I add an item to my gift registry? A. Simply find the item you wish to add to your registry and click 'Add to Registry' Q. What if I want more than one of any particular item? A. Click the red 'GIFT REGISTRY' button on the Menu at left to view all remaining registry items and change the number of items to your desired number (see below). ![]() Q. How do I let my guests know about my gift registry? A. Once you have signed up for a Make Gift Registry a representative of Make will contact you to arrange delivery of as many cards as you need to insert with your event's invitations. You may also wish to email some of your guests with the Registry ID contained in the email you received upon signing up for your registry. Q. What happens if an item I choose is out of stock? A. Make's website only shows items that are available unless sold out during the previous 24 hours. We've had so many people tell us of their frustration at purchasing from other websites only to be told later that an item is unavailable for X weeks. If we're out of stock of an item it will be removed from your registry automatically along with the rest of the website. It will be reinstated as soon as it's back in stock (which is usually very quickly). We update the site on a 24 hour cycle so you can be fairly sure that 99% of your choices shown on the site at any given time will be available to your guests. Q. Why does the number of items shown in brackets on the red 'GIFT REGISTRY 'bar on the menu not equal the actual number of items in my registry? A. If an item is out of stock it will still be counted as a selected item in the total but will not show up on your registry page until it is returned to stock. Q. What about my password? A. Do not let anyone else know your password. Q. What if I lose my password? A. Contact Make Designed Objects and we will forward your password to you. Buying Q. How do I buy an item? A. Click 'How to Browse and Buy' on the Registry Menu at left for a full explanation of the purchasing process. Q. Can I purchase a smaller number of a particular item than specified in the Registry? A. Your guests will choose from a selection of wrapping paper when the purchase their gift. Gift wrapping is free of charge. Q. What happens after I purchase a gift? A. At the checkout you will have the choice of having your gift sent directly to the registry hosts or to you. If you decide to have your gift sent directly to the registry hosts it will be sent at a time of their choosing (usually in time for a party or after a honeymoon etc.) along with all the other gifts selected with this option. If you decide you'd like to give your gift to your hosts personally then click Clear Delivery Details and enter your own address details (see below). |
